My friends have an upcoming golf day so have been wanting to go to the driving range to get ‘their eye in’ for the last couple of weeks! Having a boyfriend who probably counts golf among his favourite hobbies meant we signed up to go along too. I have to admit I wan’t particularly enthralled at the prospect and after appearing in my wedged brogues and swiftly being told there was ‘no way I could wear those’, my enthusiasm was at an all time low…
Running late due to some wardrobe difficulties, a subsequent meltdown and some bad traffic we finally arrived at the A1 Golf Centre. The centre is based just within the M25 on the A1 (as the name suggests!) and consists of a driving range, and a crazy golf course. My stresses were lifted from the moment we arrived and I saw my friends giddy faces along with my boyfriends excitement at using his new clubs for the first time!! We started hitting (or missing in my case) some balls at the driving range and proceeded that with the Dinosaur Crazy Golf, which I was both excellent and terrible at! Managing to get two hole-in-one’s but also scoring more than 7points on three holes meaning I finished last.
It was a very fun couple of hours and I would highly recommend some crazy golf action to anyone – it would be brilliant for hanging out with friends as I did, a fun thing to do with the family – particularly if there are little ones. Or equally as excellent a location for a date, there was a very cute couple following us around!
Below are some pictures from our fun afternoon out. My boyfriend became a member so I’m aiming to hold the course record within the year!!!!!!!!!
