Sunday Night Ritual

20th September 2015

For me, there’s nothing better than a Sunday night pamper session to get prepared for the week ahead. I try to go to bed early but before that I have a little beauty ritual which I aim to do at least once a week.

Kérastase Nutri Thermique Masque – I really struggle with dry hair so it’s really important that I use masques to try and replenish the moisture. This masque works really well as it locks nourishment deep into the fiber of the hair. I apply it to my towel-dried hair and then pin it up on top of my head whilst I have a bath before rinsing at the end.

Mauli Himalayan Healing Bath Salts – These are truly wonderful, being both calming and rejuvenating. A simple 20-minute bath with these salts is a real treat. I workout a lot and swear by them, they contain 84 of 92 trace minerals found in the human body. Afterwards I always have a true sense of inner peace, my joints and muscles feel warm on the inside and really relaxed and repaired.

Kiehls Creme de Corps – There’s nothing nicer than having soft, hydrated skin. This body cream is incredibly nourishing and it absorbs into the skin quickly. I struggle with dry skin particularly in winter time but this cream means I have no problems.

REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask – A miracle facial in a tube…Having struggled with my skin for a couple of years I was a little wary when I first used this. I was lucky after my acne treatment as I only had very light scarring and this was recommended to help reduce what was there. The mask is gentle (I only experience slight tingling upon application which is totally normal). The glycolactic acid works by exfoliating and dissolving the dirt that’s built up in the skin across the week. It is a complete godsend for congested, sun damaged and tired skin.

Eve Lom TLC Cream – I currently use this as my night cream. My skin often feels tight and looks dull towards the end of a day. I find this very soothing and always wake up with soft, revitalised skin. It smells delicious too!

Le Sens de Marrakech Argan Oil – I bought this whilst on holiday in Marrakech. The bottle is beautiful, with its intricate silver top and tassel. Argan oil is a precious oil extracted from the fruits of the Argan tree which grow across Morocco. It can be used on both skin and nails along with hair which is what I use it for. I apply it to my towel-dried hair to give it some extra nourishment as it dries. I also use it if my hair looks or feels like its in need of some extra moisture.
