When the weather turns from summer to autumn I really struggle to get control of my hair so I have to turn to more products to help me. In summer it’s easy to just leave your hair to dry outside, the heat of the day keeps it from going too frizzy. But as soon as it starts to get colder it’s not possible, mainly for the fear of catching a chill if you leave the house with wet hair. The below products are my current faves that are helping me keep my mane under control!
Kérastase Ciment Thermique | my favourite heat-protection, it works by strengthening and repairing the hair from the inside-out but also repairs the outer layer leaving a protective topcoat. It also speeds up your blow-dry by half the time, what more could you want!!!
Shu Uemura Wonder Worker | I use this when I leave my hair to air-dry at home. It adds shine and smoothes hair, something I really need when I leave my hair to dry on its own. A trick I learnt from a professional hair stylist when leaving hair to air-dry is to brush it in the shower to get rid of the knots, pop it in a towel turban to take away and excess water, and then when you take it out pop the product in, find your parting and then don’t touch it until it’s dry – this is really important as it prevents any frizziness.
Philip B Mega Curl Enhancer | this is a brilliant product as it works with any wave or curl that your hair naturally has and emphasises them whilst leaving it soft, glossy and super defined. It almost works like a mousse but without any of the crunchiness! I use this when I want a little more texture and bounce to my hair.
L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Oil | extraordinary by name, extraordinary with what it does. I pop this in my hair when it’s wet as soon as I get out the shower before I put it up into a towel turban. Its a blend of 6 flower extracts with nourishing properties for extra softness and shine. I love it as I feel like I’m putting some goodness directly back into the hair fibres.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer | this product is the weekly lifesaver my hair needs to combat dryness. I really struggle with dry hair as my hair is very over-processed with colour and bleach so I really rely on weekly treatments to keep it moisturised and subsequently as smooth as possible.
